Historic

Guthrie

seven10's home of Guthrie is rich in Oklahoma history.  On April 22, 1889 thousands participated in the Land Run.  By dusk, over 10,000 claims were staked in the area near Cottonwood Creek and Guthrie was born.

Guthrie is called the "Bed & Breakfast Capital of Oklahoma" and is uniquely suited for visitors.  With numerous events held throughout the year, there is always something special to experience while in town.

Guthrie is home to one of the largest historic districts on the National Register and a portion of the downtown district is designated as a national historic landmark.  As you walk the streets in the center of town, you will find antique shops, restaurants and boutiques.  South and east, on Highways 77 and 33, you will find familiar locations such as Walgreens and WalMart as well as many fast food and local specialty restaurants.
